The Case for Legalizing Performance-Enhancing Drugs | #42 Jujitoine Podcast with Evan Centopani

On this episode of #Jujitoine Podcast,  #AntoineVaillant and #Jujimufu are joined by #EvanCentopani to discuss the prevalence of #drug use in the #bodybuilding industry, and the history of drugs like New Bain and GHB. The hosts also touch on the legalization of drugs, the war on drugs, and the potential consequences of making all drugs readily available. They discuss personal experiences with drugs, the #underground drug market, and the impact of drug testing in the workplace.

The conversation raises questions about personal choice, government control, and the role of the private sector in addressing drug use. In this final part of the conversation, the hosts reminisce about their childhoods and the influence of action movies and hypermasculine figures. They also discuss Evan's recent injury and the importance of training smart and listening to your body. The conversation takes a humorous turn as they joke about drugs and the importance of being a productive drug user. The hosts conclude by emphasizing the need to take control of your own destiny and make things happen.

Suboxone you won`t get high on if you are a recovering opiate user. If you
have 0 tolerance, it apparently will make you high and probably sick from
the standard 8mg dose of buprenorphine. Suboxone does suck though as
although there is no high, and it does satisfy the opiate receptors in your
brain, it is also very hard to stop taking because you are still just as or
more sick getting off of it. It is possible to taper slowly and minimize
withdrawals, but the withdrawals still have to happen. Methadone still
gets you high even with a tolerance as well, so Antoine is pretty close to
correct across the board. TAPERING pain pills is nearly impossible for
anyone addicted to them. Opiates suck, just don`t ever start and you won`t
have to ever find out. I speak from way too much experience, and actually
one of the best tools I have against relapse is working out--powerlifting,
body building. Fitness is as much or more for my own mental health as it
is physical health. Almost ALL of the friends I have that are successful
in staying sober long term are into some form of fitness.
